Community Health, Global Knowledge? Experiences from Uganda (DOCUMENTARY)

This documentary chronicles our journey to Uganda, where we met with community health workers across the country to hear their voices regarding the next steps in community health. The journey was part of a wider project to understand how lessons spread between countries: how can one country learn from another as it builds and strengthens its health system? This question was posed to us by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, in a bid to improve its own understanding and that of other international donors on what it could do to facilitate learning for action across health systems.

Credits: Produced and Directed by Davide Scalenghe; Editor Sasha Olswang; Written by Davide Scalenghe, Alex Jones; Camera and Photography: Godfrey Badebye; Fixer and Second Camera: John Oryang; Assistant Editor: Sophie Thompson; Driver: Vincent Bagyenda. Filmed on location in Uganda with Talking Film Productions. With Special Thanks To: Perry and co., for their work on the history of community health worker programs and Makerere School of Public Health.
