Eusébio Chaquisse, a medical doctor from Mozambique, emphasizes the importance of dealing with the scarcity of qualified human resources in the effort to implement and deliver health systems.
Dr Eusebio Chaquisse is a medical doctor with extensive experience caring for HIV infected people and AIDS patients. He has worked for over 20 years as a public health specialist and academic, teaching and conducting research and health system management. He is currently the Senior Public Health Specialist at the National Public Health Directorate in Mozambique’s Ministry of Health, where he leads on Primary Health Care reforms across the country. Dr Chaquisse has also been the provincial coordinator for HIV and AIDS, Head of Department of Planning and Cooperation in Nampula Province, and Director of the Extension Courses at Lúrio University.
