A compilation of one-page case study summary sheets. We have conducted 8 in depth country case studies, looking back at significant reforms over the last 20 years to analyse what, why and how (if at all) lessons from other countries played a role. Identified countries were selected for having been low income in 2000 and gone on to make significant progress against the health related millennium development goals. From countries that met this target, selection was based on feasibility of data collection and reforms that covered a range of experiences. Case studies were conducted in Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Nepal, Rwanda and Solomon Islands.
